Software Consultant – Huntsville, AL

Description:This employee will be tasked with software and application coding assignments in the development of software products and/or customization of the Intergraph COTS products supporting public safety applications. Candidate will apply a comprehensive knowledge of principles, theories and concepts of a particular field of programming/software specialization to the solution of difficult assignments. Assignments will be in one or more of the following areas: user interfaces, databases, graphic tools, network communications and/or application software. Candidate will participate in requirements analysis related to development and refinement. . Additionally, the candidate must play an active role in the testing of the software. This job includes designing and developing web applications, enterprise software and near-real time back-end processing programs in a Microsoft .NET Framework development environment, utilizing Oracle or SQL Server. Employee must be a US Citizen.Job Requirements:- Minimum of 8 or more years of applicable experience required - SOA experience required - Experience with IIS 6.0 required - Experience with event-driven architecture required - Proficient in UML, Visual C#, XML, XSLT, .NET Framework 2.0, and database manipulation - Strong C++/MFC/ATL/WTL/COM background preferred - Experience with real-time or near real-time systems preferred - Microsoft or software industry certifications are a plus - Effective organizational and analytical abilities required - Ability to work concurrently with multiple projects, internal Project Leads, customers and development team members required - Ability to function independently with little supervision and guidance - Availability to travel as needed to customer sites required - Ability to work directly with customers in order to gather requirements and to resolve problems required - Good written and oral communication skills are required - Ability to produce software documents required - Ability to work overtime when requested Education:- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline required
