SUMMARY

Responsible for design & development of large scale database from the ground the up.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

· Design & Create Database Archiecture.

· Creating automation routines to perform large scale transformations of data into database.

· Development of all levels of Reporting from database. 

· Works with Senior Product Managers to identify client needs and ensure congruence with Technical Development capabilities

· Performs quality testing in collaboration with Quality Services staff to identify and correct defects in product offerings

· Creates necessary technical documentation in support programming and design activities such as release notes, code comments, use cases, and training materials

· Other duties as assigned

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in database design and planning

· Strong Knowledge of relational databases (specifically SQL Server 2005)

· Ability to perform complex functions (including transact-SQL, stored procedures, cursors, triggers, etc.)

· Good working knowledge of SSIS.

· Comprehensive knowledge of:

o  Programming principles

o  VB.NET and/or C#

· Ability to collaborate, possess team orientation, and have dedication to meeting and exceeding the expectations of other team members

· Strong organization skills and attention to detail

· Oral communication skills necessary to express ideas clearly to individuals and groups

· Written communication skills necessary to effectively communicate technical information

· Ability to analyze problems and identify alternative solutions

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· Baccalaureate degree in computer science or related field from an accredited U.S. college or university, or equivalent foreign institution is preferred

· Two years work experience as a Software Developer/Database programmer or equivalent
