Software Developer - Solutions Architect-08001204

The main responsibility of this position is to work on the architecture of the SAS Merchandise Intelligence solution. In addition, you will also define, design, develop, document and support mid-tier components of the SAS Merchandise Intelligence solution. Your duties will include working as part of the development team of  the SAS Merchandise Intelligence solution using the SAS Business Intelligence Architecture; working directly with customers and marketing personnel to ensure that the software meets the specifications; designing software components; and advising, assisting, and providing documentation for customers and other SAS divisions regarding the developed components. Duties also include performing programming tasks in other SAS applications.

Qualifications

 

EssentialBachelor's in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field 7 years experience in software development 4 years exerpience in development of server-side applications Exerience with server-side development in Java Knowledge of SQL under DB2 and Oracle


Equivalent EssentialAssociate's degree in the same fields plus 2 additional years experience in the areas stated above ~OR~ High school diploma (GED) plus 4 additional years experience in the areas stated above


AdditionalExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication skills

 

PreferencesMaster's or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field Knowledge of JBoss and its architecture Knowledge of data analysis and applied statistical methods Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform Architectural and implementation level understanding of J2EE Familiarity with the SAS system and SAS programming skills
