Amazon.com's Fraud Detection engineering team is looking for top-notch software development managers to drive key initiatives from requirements through delivery, own key financial and service level metrics, and deliver on key business objectives including building the next generation of customer account protection and  prevention software.The ideal candidate is a business and tech-savvy, analytical manager with a verifiable track record of managing and delivering enterprise projects on time and within budget. Candidates must demonstrate proactive technical leadership, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a proven ability to multi-task and manage stress effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Software Development Manager will work with technical and non-technical users, including engineers, risk analysts, project managers and operations teams, to design and implement key initiatives in customer account protection.The candidate must have a strong background in computer science and have at least a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with 1-3 years of experience managing distributed computing/server software engineering teams. A MS or PhD is a plus. This leader will also interact with business development and program office staff to define the risk management product, and in sales interactions.
