Autodesk, selected as one of Fortune magazine’s “100 Fastest Growing Companies”, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Software Development Manager for our Manufacturing Solutions Division (MSD) based in Lake Oswego, Oregon.  As a Software Development Manager you will be leading a top-notch, global engineering team enhancing and improving our award winning Inventor product.  In Autodesk’s Manufacturing Solutions Division (MSD), you will join a team of software development professionals who take pride in delivering products that reach hundreds of thousands of customers in one of the fastest revenue growing divisions of Autodesk.This opportunity is with the Inventor Platform Team, which is responsible for the core and platform components of MSD's flagship product, Inventor.  This position has great visibility and great potential career trajectory within Autodesk.  We are looking for top-notch candidates to bring creative vision and energy to the group and be part of Inventor's future.In this position, you will be expected to apply independence and creativity to problem solving across project assignments.Responsibilities: • Project Task Estimating and Scheduling.  In-depth knowledge of and experience with estimating and scheduling project tasks in multiple and diverse environments.  Devise detailed project plans including schedule and resource requirements. • Software Implementation.  Lead team in delivering high-quality, stable software for use in products and solutions for customers.  Experience and knowledge of company and industry best practices for software implementation and their rationale.  Experience with relationships, inter-dependencies and integration for software implementation.  Facilitates implementation reviews for complex applications. • Meeting Facilitation.  Set the agenda for weekly project review meetings.  Follow up with cross-functional teams on system impact and feasibility for tasks, nominations and issues raised.  Participate in defining goals and fix targets for hot-fixes and service packs.  Clearly communicate to all stakeholders on goals and get feedback on how their area might be impacted.  Consult with system domain experts on affected areas. • Team Management and Team Building.  Experienced with leading and managing a variety of teams.  Discusses alternative techniques for maintaining enthusiasm, energy and focus.  Communicates verbally and in writing within team and across and up the organization to appropriate stakeholders.  Ensures that team is energized, unified, and moving towards a common goal. • Communication. Effectively communicates with staff, with peers across department, with peers across division and to senior management.  Is able to break down complex technical concepts into easy, understandable terms. • Organizational Savvy.
