Software Development Manager, Performance and Availability Managing teams with a high density of talent requires strong vision, direction setting and the ability to dive deep. We need just such a person to own the products, product vision, customer relationship and customer requirements of our offerings. Experience with a large scale customer base, product planning and operations are required. Additionally, ideal candidates would have a background in the Performance-Monitoring space with a good understanding of software development (big-up-front-design & scrum) and finance functions (capex, opex and opportunity costs) to help make the right decisions about the right product features at the right time. You will be responsible for understanding the market and rewarded for hitting the bulls-eye. The ideal candidate should have a self-starter, team leadership, project management and quantitative skills apparent. A verifiable track record of managing and delivering software projects on time and within budget is essential, as is the ability to lead a team; define project technical requirements; work with technical and non-technical users; set appropriate project schedules; and produce robust, supportable software with comprehensive, usable documentation. Candidates must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated technical leadership. They should be "comfortable" in a Java, C++, Linux/Unix environment as well as internet and middleware technologies space. Bachelor's degree required; MBA or at least 5 years experience in managing software development engineers and software design desired.
