Software Engineer
Fenwick Technologies is currently seeking a Software Engineer with solid knowledge of Java to work on testing a cutting edge SOA based system in Morgantown, WV.
Description:
Execute software testing activities under the general supervision of the Test Manager. Responsibilities include the development and execution of integration, performance and system test procedures to ensure appropriate interoperability among all systems and components as well as the integration and implementation of system and software security features. Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases and automated test procedures consistent with the Programs' software process methodology to verify all documented requirements. Maintain automated testing procedures and test cases in coordination with the software build process. Report on test results and collect metrics to assess testing effectiveness and support process improvement.
Education/Experience:
BS in Computer Science or other related discipline.
Required Skills:
1 Proficient in one or more object-oriented programming languages including Java.
Experience with JDBC and/or ODBC to access databases.
3 Experience using SQL.
4 Experience working with one or more relational databases (i.e., MS SQL, Oracle, etc.).
5 Experience working with Mozilla and Internet Explorer web browsers and Office 2000+ applications.
6 Experience with Windows, LINUX, Mac OSX and UNIX Operating Systems.
Desired Skills:
1 Experience testing Web applications and Web Services.
2 Experience with XML, XSD, and WSDL.
3 Experience with Object Oriented Design (OOD).
4 Experience with Internet/Web Services security (i.e., SSL, SAML, etc.).
5 Experience with a Web application development framework.
6 Experience with the design of server side web application architectures.
7 Experience in software testing using automated test tools.
8 Experience in developing scripts and other mechanisms to automate test case execution and verification.
9 Experience in developing test plans and coordinating and executing the test process for software applications.
10 Familiarity with J2EE and application servers, such as JBoss and WebLogic.
