Software Engineer – Automated X-ray Inspection Platform - 3429

The Software Engineering candidate will be involved in all phases of software engineering, responsible for the entire life cycle from requirements specification, through design and implementation and debug, to test and maintenance for the Automated X-ray Inspection platform of products.

Working in a small team on a young product, job activities will include:

-  Software design and implementation of new features for the Automated X-ray Inspection platform.

-  Developing solutions to technical challenges

-  Providing innovative methods and ideas

-  Performing prototype debug and analysis

-  Testing and verification of performance

-  Creating and maintaining specifications, schedules and unit tests

-  Interacting cross-functionally

 

Basic Qualifications, Skills and Experience

 

-  Proficient with C, C++ and/or Java is required with experience developing engineering applications or features. 

-  Experience interfacing, implementing and/or designing software data structures.

-  Experience designing and implementing code under object oriented methods.

-  Knowledge of software development processes is required.

-  Experience directly related to developing software applications that “control” hardware products is a plus.

-  Experience in UI development is a plus.

-  SQL and Oracle database development experience is a plus.

-  Must be able to work independently as well as on cross-functional teams.

-  Ability and interest in working with hardware engineers and cross-functional teams.

-  Proven success in the development of at least one commercial product.

-  Interest in a challenging and rewarding team environment.

-  Highly motivated team player who can excel in a dynamic environment with strong personal discipline, and good verbal and written communication skills.

-  Prior ATE experience and/or hardware knowledge is a plus.

-  2-10 years experience in commercial software development.

-  BSCS, BSCE, BSEE or equivalent experience
