Software Engineer--Customer/Client Facing

matchmine is developing a personalized media discovery platform.  Our product will get to know what you like, and then find the video, music, news, film and other content you'd love to find yourself, if only you had the time. It’s like having a best friend whose full time gig is to send you great stuff.

We are looking for someone who “gets” the world of Web 2.0, an engineer who is a digital native will all ten fingers on the pulse of social networking communities and regularly works with Web 2.0 tools.

 

Working within the Client Services Team, you will interact with our architecture, engineering, client-side technical and business teams.  You will work with client partners in music, film and video, books and blogs, evaluating and understanding their technical environment.  You will then design, develop, code, integrate and implement their customization.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

·  Software development experience and client-facing skills.  Must be able to interact with technical and business personnel alike.

 XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and PHP experience.  Experience with various web application servers and web scripting languages essential.  Database experience required, SQL preferred.

 

·  Good communication skills to clearly and unambiguously articulate difficult concepts to and discuss them with multiple stakeholders.

 

·  Techno-Hip Factor 11.  Alright, we made that up, but it helps drive the point home were looking for up-and-coming technology folks interested in earning their stripes on the way to taking the world by digital storm.

 B.S. Computer Science or equivalent experience and availability for occasional travel to US-based clients.
