Software Engineer - Enterprise Software Customer Implementations

You will function as the technical lead during the implementation, configuration, customization and integration to other applications, if required during the implementation phase of delivering Rivermine’s Java based product to Enterprise customers.

 

Responsibilities:

Engineering lead during implementation and delivery, performing hands-on configuration and/or customization, documenting all processes thoroughly, and working to ensure a smooth hand-off to the support team once the implementation is complete

 

Acquire detailed product knowledge of our Java/J2EE based software modules and provide product, technical, and integration expertise in the delivery of the products

 

Work with customers to define complex product configurations and customizations, producing detailed technical documentation

 

Troubleshoot application and implementation issues (level 3), taking ownership of questions, researching architectural, or application issues and provide appropriate solutions

 

Provide product feedback (customer requirements, product shortcomings, enhancements, etc.) to product management and/or engineering.
 
Actively participate in engagement planning and management as a member of the account team.

 

Requirements:

 

B.S in Computer Science or Engineering with 5+ years enterprise application software implementation project experience in roles such as a technical consultant for a professional services firm or in a hands on role deploying complex enterprise applications for a software vendor or enterprise user.

 

In-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle and Web based architectures, (J2EE, XML), RDMS structures (Oracle, SQL preferred), JSP Engines, Object Oriented programming techniques, and Web/Application servers

 

Strong software engineering experience that includes the ability to translate business needs into system solutions.

 

Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills are a must.

 

Functional knowledge of Enterprise Telecommunication Management and experience working with client business process owners is highly desirable
