Software Engineer II - Boulder, CO Pitney Bowes Software (Group 1 Software/MapInfo), a global software solutions leader and subsidiary of Pitney Bowes, seeks a Software Engineer II. An ideal candidate will perform software design and development tasks, planning, scheduling, and testing to assure that developed products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards.  Working within a delivery team, the Software Engineer II communicates with product management and Quality Assurance to deliver software that meets specified requirements within the engineers committed schedule. Our software, data and services provide our customers with greater competitive advantage and enhanced decision making through our array of offerings in location intelligence and integrated Customer Communication Management (CCM) solutions.  Our solutions are utilized by many vertical markets; such as utilities, financial services/banking, retail, telecommunications, insurance and public sector. This position is located at our Boulder, CO location. The right candidate will be an integral part of our talented Location Intelligence Engineering team, contributing to Pitney Bowes Software’s continued growth.   Essential Functions: Implementation and maintains software code base that runs on multiple platforms Schedules tasks for self and meets agreed upon deadlines Prepares documentation of development work Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.  Performs bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products Keeps abreast of new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology B.S. degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering  or 2 - 7 years of technical experience in software design and implementation. At least two years practical or educational experience in C, C++, Java, C#, or COBOL. At least two years experience using UNIX, Linux, MVS, VMS, AS/400, or Windows. Basic technical knowledge of a software development methodology. Ability to analyze requirements and design software. Skills in research, analysis, estimation and implementation of software.
