What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a smart, self-motivated software engineer to join a unique environment where top-notch talent is building powerful platforms and tools. You’ll be working with the QA/Testing team to design, build and implement tools that will be used to automate their testing. 

Work experience is great, but less important than intelligence, common sense, hard work, and fluency in the fundamentals. The successful candidate will have a fluent, demonstrable grasp (not just memorized knowledge) of the foundations of computer science, including algorithm and data structure analysis and efficiency, principles of object-oriented design, and the attributes of various programming paradigms.

This is a great opportunity to invent, design and implement tools that will be testing our applications written in languages such as: J2EE, JSF, Eclipse GUI development, Oracle and Java.

 

Job Responsibilities

· Take a primary role in the design and development of an in-house testing framework and tools used by Quality Assurance and development.

· Work closely with the testers[d1] to intimately understand their needs and provide solutions

· Participate in collaborative design and highly iterative development of internal tools

· Perform analysis and troubleshooting for debugging application problems

· Help in the documentation and training of delivered software

· Collaborate with our East Coast division in design and reusability aspects with their test tools

· Collaborate with Build Engineer to integrate test tools with build tools where applicable

 

Requirements

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

· Three to five years programming experience in Java
