What you will be doing:Software development - analysis, design, implementation, quality assurance, and maintenanceWhat you will need for this position:~ Bachelor's in Computer Science, Master's a plus ~ 5 years JAVA software engineering, architecture, design and development experience creating professional grade software ~ Strong fundamentals and experience in core Computer Science, particularly algorithms, data structures; information retrieval a plus ~ Keen interest in programming and software in general and with open-source technology. ~ Able to take input from disparate sources and combine them into specific action items that the company and its customers can utilize. ~ JDK 1.5 ~ Experience with web-based applications (e.g., Tomcat, Apache) ~ Strong experience writing high-quality, professional code in a team environment ~ Version control (e.g., CVS, SubVersion) ~ IDE (e.g., Eclipse, JBuilder) ~ Very strong, concise, English communication skills, ability to understand and express ideas clearly in written and oral form ~ Familiarity with Unix, DOS, scripting ~ Excellent problem-solving skills, especially the ability to reason through technical problems and provide alternatives with pros and cons ~ Independently-motivated, with proven track record of taking on and finishing projects without supervision ~ Knowledge of open source toolkits ~ Knowledge of Lucene, Weka, OpenNLP, Ajax, Ruby on Rails, Google Web Toolkit What you will receive in return:Competitive salary Bonus Benefits True Team Environment Great Work Location Cutting edge work process and product and much moreInterviews begin immediately, so if this sounds like you, we would like to review your resume and answers immediately.
