Jacked is building a team of talented, inspired and committed innovators to revolutionize television as we know it. We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help build a market leading company and cutting edge products.

 

Job Description  Prototype, develop, and deploy new features and functionality for company’s platform and internet productsWork closely with Product Management in defining product requirements translating them into technical specificationsSupport and enhance current products with new features Responsible for performance and scalability optimizations of various components of the company’s platformProvide project estimations and LOE for roadmap featuresManage time effectively with minimal supervision to ensure that projects release on-timeDevelop comprehensive unit test harnesses for all code developedApply best practices and proactively fill the gaps throughout the iterative development cycle Perform production support and troubleshootingInterface with 3rd party vendors and technology partners regarding integration issues

 

 

Requirements BS or MS in Computer Science or related engineering field5+ years in Software Development, with at least 3 years in internet based productsAbility to meet aggressive implementation deadlinesProficiency with J2EE and one or more Java Application Framework (Struts, Spring, Tiles, etc.)  Thorough understanding of agile development methodologies and processes Experience in designing and building real-time statistical enginesExperience in working on projects related to content aggregation and content federation Experience with database related development (SQL, JDBC, Hibernate)Inversion of Control/Dependency Injection experience (spring/hivemind/pico container)Knowledge of JBoss and JMS is a plusExpert understanding of Web Standards (HTML, DHTML, AJAX, XML, XSL, JavaScript, Web Services, RSS). Strong teamwork and communication skillsPassionate about college and professional sports
