Position/Title:

Software Engineer – .NET Windows Applications Developer

Responsibility:

Coding and Porting

Tasks:

Implementation of TouchSuite Architecture(s) by coding in the applicable s/w languages (C#, ASP.NET, C++) using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET. This responsibility includes porting of software acquired outside of Invenstar for device and services support. Implementation of Web Services for financial transactions.

Responsibility:

Database design and implementation

Tasks:

MS SQL Server database design and implementation using SQL Server Management Studio; to be integrated and deployed in a SQL Server Express 2005 environment on XP Platform.

Responsibility:

Documentation

Tasks:

Create, manage, and/or contribute to applicable s/w documentation and specifications.

Responsibility:

External Software Analysis

Tasks:

Identify and evaluate suitability of software from outside vendors for use in Invenstar products.

Responsibility:

Manufacturing Test Software

Tasks:

Design for and code test software and communicate to manufacturing for ensuring effective testing of Invenstar products.

Responsibility:

External Software Services Analysis

Tasks:

Identify and evaluate potential technical partners.

Responsibility:

Intellectual Property

Tasks:

Identify and submit opportunities for Patent protection of Invenstar technology and products.

Other Skills -

 

Communication:

Team Player. Capable to assist with building the technical team and assuming a productive role on the team with other team members.

 

Concise effective writing skills for reports and product documentation (specifications, manuals, etc.).

 

Able to effectively interact with management, peers, and outside technical partners and vendors.

 

Good listener.

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar discipline, or, equivalent work experience, required.

Experience:

Mid level engineer experienced in multi-tier application design for Windows architecture. Experience in web application development/web services also required. POS experience highly desirable. 3 years demonstrable experience minimum, or 7 years without a degree.
