Location: Orlando, FL 32801Your location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend Supervisor is expected to manage, lead, recruit, develop, and support a game development team of 8-10 software engineers. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises shared team of software engineers on large game projects. Based upon specifications from upper Management makes determination as to what tools are appropriate for specific tasks and supervises implementation of those tools. Working with appropriate programming staff, makes determinations as to what can be done using the game engine and other software’s at hand, and if not what it would require to realize the request.REQUIREMENTSRecent experience as a manager for an engineering team working on games.Success at building and retaining high talent, high morale, highly motivated engineering teams.Experience leading, scheduling, and tracking multiple concurrent complex software development projects with evolving requirements and competing priorities. Strong understanding of the software development cycle and how it relates to business needs.Excellent communicator. Demonstrated ability to navigate large organizations and communicate effectively with a diverse set of stakeholders from testers to executives, onsite to offsite, intra-division to extra-division. B.S in Computer Science or equivalent degree and over 3 years hands-on experience with object-oriented projects in C++. Experience on a minimum of 2-3 complete titles/productions that have shipped.Previous experience in software engineering team for full life-cycle development. Clearly communicate difficult technical concepts to technical and non-technical team members Excellent ability to problem solve issues; demonstrates an ability to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations investigate and advise. History of working through problems until effective solutions are found and implemented.
