And we welcome anyone who shares our commitment to ingenuity and excellence.EOE/AA EmployerSoftware engineer to work on requirements, design, implementation and testing of embedded software for building control systems.  As a member of the engineering staff you will work with a team of developers who are constructing state of the art solutions for control of HVAC environments and building automation systems.  Software development is in support of the Metasys System Extended Architecture.  Products are based on Microsoft CE and XP Embedded operating systems.   Works under minimal supervision; determines approach to solutions.  Guides and mentors engineers.  Knows a subsystem.  Defines, plans & promotes a complex project or several routine ones/sub-system.  Defines specifications for sub-systems.  Reports status of multiple/complex projects. Candidates should possess: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline Software development experience using C/C++ and IDEs for embedded products Experience with real-time Operating SystemsExperience with embedded systems Strong emphasis on engineering discipline and quality Strong communication skills Desired:Experience with software/hardware integrationExperience with device level protocols and driversExperience with RF applications (802.15.4)Experience with control of HVAC environments and building automation systemsExperience with CMM/CMMIKnowledge of software configuration management  Grade for the position will be determined by years of experience.
