We have an immediate opportunity for a Software IT Architect for our team in the Washington DC - Rockville, MD area.

The Software IT Architect’s (SWITA) position is to assist in driving the sale of IBM Software and related services by providing the technical skills to support the sale of those Software Solutions.  The SWITA should have a comprehensive knowledge of IBM software solutions offerings, strategies and direction and be able to apply this knowledge as it relates to a client's business requirements, infrastructure and industry.  They will be a technical consultant to our customers and remove technical inhibitors to the sale of IBM products, solutions and services. The SWITA assures a solution's technical feasibility, qualifies opportunities, understands customer business and technical environments, ensures successful installation and drives implementation planning.

 

When engaged for a specific opportunity, they are responsible for the technical accuracy of the proposed solution, service, project, or enhancement. Responsibilities also include-- articulating technical benefits of IBM's products, solutions and services to all levels in customer's organization; address technical issues and objections; tailor and present demos; compare and contrast product models, features, and functions; manage and coordinate pilots and trials; ensure customer readiness for products and solutions and assist with capacity planning and performance analysis studies if required.

 

Finally, the position will assist in developing the company’s IBM product expertise so that the company can technically differentiate itself from competitors. design solutions / prove solution capabilities;
