Software Instructor/Trainer

Plateau is a leading provider of web-based software for developing, managing, rewarding and optimizing organizational talent to increase workforce productivity and maximize operating performance.  Plateau software has been deployed by many of the world's most successful enterprises to increase the productivity of their employees and partners.  Plateau has won numerous awards, including being named by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in corporate America.  Plateau is seeking an experienced Software Instructor/Trainer to join our Knowledge Services team and play a critical role in ensuring that our customers are able to use the Plateau software effectively and efficiently on an ongoing basis.  Travel expected is a minimum of 50%. This position is located in our Headquarters office in Arlington, VA. Job Duties include:· Conduct training programs for customers, as well as internal employees in the use of Plateau applications· Work as a team member with instructional designers and project managers to deliver training to clients/customers on Plateau software product(s)· Contribute to training strategies and development of tactics and tools· Conduct needs assessments, formulate project plans, analyze and identify methodologies and improve existing training materials as necessary· Assist and support in the development of internal curriculum and training programs as well as the development of customer training and certification programs· Develop deliverables including lesson plans, learner guides, instructor guides, and presentation materials· Continue efforts in support of future software version releases Required Qualifications:· 3 - 5 years of related experience in delivery of software training· Strong background in the delivery of enterprise software stand-up training· Experience with learning theories, and effective instructional and delivery strategieso  Identify and write course objectiveso  Recruit, manage, and facilitate SMEs to extract appropriate motivating training contento  Apply appropriate instructional strategieso  Create assessment and testing toolso  And evaluate learning activities for effectiveness· Experience with publishing and authoring tools, html editors, and limited programming· Experience with developing software training programs a plus.  · An understanding of the e-learning industry a plus· Ability to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment· A strong focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to represent Plateau in a professional and positive manner· Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills· Ability to work within employee teams· Project management experience a plus· Bachelor’s degree in an education related field preferred  Plateau is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  We offer a competitive compensation package that includes paid time off (PTO) and paid public holidays, generous health/life/disability insurance, stock options plan, retirement plan, and an annual employee profit sharing/bonus plans among other benefits—as well as a casual work environment and the opportunity to work among the industry’s best in one of America’s fastest growing companies.
