Position Overview – Software Program Manager

 

We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Software Program Manager with experience in a software and content development environment.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

Track projects and programs, dependencies between programs/projects, reporting on progress, identifying and communicating risks and issues.

 

Coordinate work across the organization including software development, business applications development, quality assurance, content development, graphics design, marketing, hosting/production and the field.

 

Provide support such as writing and maintaining project/program plans, status reports, timelines and calendars.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

• Experience managing projects with many interdependencies
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

• Ability to communicate with all organizational levels including technical engineers and management
• Strong people skills/team skills and ability to effectively drive cross functional teams
• Creative thinker and problem solver with ability to troubleshoot given minimal information
• Flexible attitude and an ability and willingness to multi-task
• Possess good initiative and strong follow-up skills 
• Able to focus on detail but understand how the work fits into the larger program
• Experience with MS Project, Excel, Word, SharePoint a plus
• Experience with projects involving C++, Java, Javascript and HTML a plus
• BS degree with 5 or more years experience preferred.
