Software Programmer Linux/Windows: Hardware I/O Board driver & support

Come join our team at a strong, established, embedded computer peripherals manufacturer located in Sorrento Valley. We have a position available in our software department and are looking for a qualified software professional with a background in Microsoft tools and philosophy. We have been in business 20 years and consider ourselves experts in the PC-based data acquisition and control market. Our product offering includes a multitude of products which offer users a variety of options for solving their real-world industrial/scientific/military data acquisition and control needs. Experience in analog and digital data acquisition and control products including serial communication products is a plus.




Responsibilities
Interface with sales and marketing for design requirementsParticipate in designing new software Follow design documents to create software Work with test engineers to troubleshoot hardware/software problems Translate application software samples into multiple languages Perform technical support on hardware and software issues Write software manuals Train other programmers




Recommended Qualifications
 Linux and / or Mac OS X kernel and user mode development Familiarity with Microsoft's Windows development tools and philosophies Experience with data acquisition software such as Labview Experience designing systems and writing applications that communicate with real-time devices Experience in multi-threaded application development Installation, operation, and maintenance of various operating systems and associated hardware
