Software QA Analyst

Summary and purpose of position

Designs and executes software verification test plans and procedures for HTP-developed software.  Recommends to product management the suitability for software to be released for customer use.

major duties/responsibilities & Essential functionsDesigns test plans and procedures for HTP-developed software products and modifications. Performs independent software verification of HTP-developed against stated requirements. Assists in recommending to Product Management suitability for release to customers of products. Assists product management, development, and related functions in identifying product requirements. Assists in the continual improvement of the HTP software verification infrastructure and processes.

Education and/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree IT-related or other technical degree 

Specialized knowledgeBasic computer skills (i.e. working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products) Knowledge in software verification concepts, tools, and methodologies Knowledge of X12 and/or HL7 Knowledge of transaction processing applications

kind and length of experience3 or more years software verification experience 2 or more years GUI testing Experience testing applications based on Windows Server and commercial-grade DBMS

desirable qualificationsKnowledge of X12 and/or HL7 Knowledge of hospital revenue cycle management processes Knowledge of MS SQL Server Experience with CompuWare testing tools
