Software QA Engineer III

Digital Technology Laboratory Corporation, located in Sacramento, California is a subsidiary of Mori Seiki Co. We have immediate openings for Software QA Engineers.

 

Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, requires to work closely with application engineers and software development team; responsible for creating test plans and test cases based on specification documents; provides automated testing solutions by utilizing existing tools or creating custom applications; build test scenarios interconnecting hardware platforms; performs tests, report test results and submit bug reports. This position requires team-oriented, well organized individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibility:Creates test plans and test cases for testing Develops and maintains scripts and applications for automated testingAnalyzes test cases and provides regular progress report Performs unit, functional, system and performance tests

 

Requirements:A minimum of BS degree with 5+ years in software testing or related fieldsEmbedded Software and Hardware experienceKnowledge of scripting languages such as VBS, PERL, PHP or PythonWorking knowledge in load/performance testing practice and tools, such as Rational Requisite Pro and Rational Test Manager Knowledge of software test practices and methodologiesMust be organized, independent and self-directedKnowledge of C, C# or C++.MS Windows based software testing (not web or browser based).

 

Desired:Excel macro programming experience.Embedded software testing experience.CAD/CAM knowledge.TCP/IP Networking knowledge.

 

This is a full-time Monday-Friday Position. No contract or telecommuting positions.
