We are currently seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer for our Mobile Software Engineering Division.  The position is located in Sunnyvale, CA.Test Windows pre-installed images, drivers and applications, notebook accessories according to documented software Quality Assurance test plans and requirement documents.Create observance reports in BUG Tracking Database for any anomalies observed during testing.Document test results and communicate in a timely manner any significant issues identified during Quality Assurance activities.Assist in BUG Regression, reproduction, step-by-step troubleshooting and problem isolation.As required, investigate critical product issues reported by customers and also create production grade Windows Operating System preinstall images for notebook and tablet products.Software test automation as applicable. Bachelors degree or higher. Field of Study:  Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Equivalent. MCSE or MCP preferred. 1-2 Years programming experience (C/C++.Net/Scripting Language), especially in test automation is preferred. Good knowledge of modern Windows Operating Systems (XP & VISTA); software installation and software anomalies troubleshooting skills. Good logical and analytical skills. Good communication skills and a team player. Fluency in English; ability to read/write French and/or Spanish are desirable. Knowledge of formal software quality assurance (SQA) methodology. Experience installing Windows XP and VISTA OS Drivers and applications, and testing the same. Experience using version/change control system such as Visual SourceSafe is desired. Fluency in Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook). Physical Requirements:  Typical of those for software quality assurance position, e.g. computer usage related.
