The Rail, Logistics and Terminals business unit, which employs over 200 people across several continents, is seeking to increase market presence in the Americas by expanding its sales team.

Preference:  Englewood, Colorado

Summary

 

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager – Americas, as a key member of the Rail, Logistics and Terminals business unit, will sell complex rail and logistics transportation optimization software solutions to senior corporate and public transportation decision-makers across North America.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

· Will sell various proprietary software solutions, each of which optimizes the operation/minimizes the cost of a portion of the client's transportation network, such as:

 

- Rail crew planning/scheduling

- Rail fleet equipment positioning/train building/flow

- Logistics/courier/postal networks layouts and vehicle flow

- Airport terminal ground operations, e.g. gate/check-in/baggage operations

 

· Prior to install, will provide basic technical information to the client regarding product functionality, and necessary IT support required.  After installation/commissioning, the Operations Team will be responsible to provide technical service support.

 

· Will partner with the Operations Team, who will provide post-sales support, i.e. software installation, client/end-user training, and contract monitoring/fulfillment.

 

· Will continue to act as the responsible account manager for given client to ensure on-going customer/relationship management.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science/Information Management Systems or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Direct work experience/knowledge of rail crew scheduling processes, rail passenger operations, rail freight operations and/or logistics transportation operations preferred.In-depth knowledge of related markets, and experience using or selling relationship-based technology solutions.

· Prior experience working within a start-up software sales function/organization desired.

· History of successfully selling software solutions, e.g. IBM/Oracle/SAP/Microsoft, etc. to C-level executives desired.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, technical and business acumen, and self-leadership.  Must be willing to travel up to 50%.
