Software Support Engineer

As a result of significant growth of both VMware’s market acceptance as a strategy to lower IT costs, and adoption of ITIL best practices for monitoring events and performance across the enterprise, nworks is actively hiring for positions in Seattle.
Job Purpose:
Work directly with customers to analyze, replicate and resolve problems or questions of varying complexity on the nworks HP Operations Manager Smart Plug-in for VMware.
Duties:
· Provide second and third level support for customers running the nworks SPI for VMware in HP Operations Manager environments
· Accurately document customer calls, problem statement, solution and defects in the call tracking system
· Analyze, troubleshoot and duplicate customer problems
· Escalate urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge to nworks software developers
· Timely follow-up with customers on problem status and issue resolution action plan
