Software Support/Test/QA Engineer

Laserfiche is looking for motivated team-players to join our development team in our Long Beach office! This entry-level position includes multiple responsibilities that will allow the candidate to rotate between different Engineering groups at Laserfiche within the first year of employment.
As a Software Support/test/QA Engineer, you will:
· Consult and develop effective relationships with our resellers’ technical support staff
· Create solutions to address questions about our product and diagnose issues that arise through the usage of our software in both production and theoretical environments
· Provide Laserfiche technical support via phone, email, web-based chat, and remote access sessions to our customers for deployment and production issues by researching, troubleshooting, and analyzing customer software performance issues
· Test Laserfiche web- and Windows-based software
· Develop methodologies and automation for rapidly and thoroughly testing Laserfiche web- and Windows-based software
· Drive the Laserfiche software process towards more speedy and stable software releases
· Serve as a liaison for new Laserfiche products by dispersing information to our development and user-education teams
· Provide content for our technical writers and conduct internal training for the pre-sales department
· Develop the Laserfiche document and records management server
· Create high performance, reliable, secure, and maintainable code that our customers can count on
· Implement and refine functionality of Laserfiche product suite including rich metadata, annotation, lifecycle, search, and security support
What are the qualifications?
· Bachelor’s degree
· Communicate effectively both in person and on the phone while maintaining professionalism
· Think with a clear mind and originate clever and useful solutions
· Quickly and accurately determine the cause of a complex problem
· Proficiency with troubleshooting Windows, particularly 2003 and XP, is preferred
· Familiarity with the Internet and Internet applications
