Software Team Lead

Position Description:

As a software team lead, the candidate will report to the Engineering Director and is responsible for the day to day activities of a production software development team including but not limited to, tasking assignments, moderating design reviews, and upholding standard software engineering methodologies.  The candidate must understand system requirements, drive detailed functional requirements, and direct the testing of new product designs within an iterative development process.  Candidate must exhibit a strong work ethic, set a high standard for quality, and be effective both as an independent contributor and as part of a team.

Needed Competencies and Skills:
Requirements:

Have an M.Sc or B.Sc in Software Engineering with 7+ years of software development experience with at least two years team management, or relative equivalent.

- Able to work quickly, independently, and prioritize critical tasks

- Strong communication skills – written and oral

- Knowledge of Agile process and SCRUM methodology a plus
