Job Description
Provide software technical support for our terminal emulation software via phone, e-mail and web requests. This involves working with customers to troubleshoot, research, test, and resolve any support issues. Provide sales team with pre-sales technical support. You will also be required to perform software quality assurance, write knowledge base articles, FAQ’s and other miscellaneous IT projects.
Technical Skills Required
Software technical support experience (over email, telephone and in person)Experience with different Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, Internet Explorer versions and Microsoft IIS serversFundamental understanding of computers and networking involving TCP/IP, DNS, Security and Internet connectivityAbility to write technical application notes, knowledge base entries and some product documentationExcellent technical trouble-shooting skills including how to diagnose and resolve problemsAbility to learn new technical skills quickly Quality Assurance testing experience (desired, but not required)Terminal emulation software experience with IBM Personal Communications, Attachmate Extra® or some other terminal emulation product (desired, but not required)IT Network Administration skills and experience including Microsoft SQL Server, CRM database systems, Ghost Imaging Software, Backup Exec, Firewall, VPN, Terminal Server and Citrix (desired but not required)Some basic programming experience (desired but not required)

Education and Work Experience RequiredAt least 0-2 years of work experience B.S. degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or other related computer degree
