Software Technician/Trainer

Position Objective –

· Train clients on HAL, Inc. software products at client sites globally

· Provide software support to clients via phone, email or Webex-type interface

· Work with clients and product development to address and fix application problems

· Write client specified reports using Jinfonet JReports

· Maintain detailed timesheet for billing and auditing

 

Required Qualifications –

· Experience providing end user software support

· Strong presentation and training capabilities

· Expert problem-solver with attention to detail

· Superior customer-oriented telephone etiquette

· An independent worker with good documentation practices

· Desire to learn new skills

 

Preferential skills/experience

· Understanding of the export logistics industry

· Database experience with MSSQL Server 2005 and 2000 or Oracle 9i

· Experience in enterprise level application rollouts and implementations

· Familiarity in one or more of the following: JReports, Crystal Reports or SQL reporting

 

Education

· Associates degree with 2-3 years support/training experience or equivalent

 

Travel

· National and international travel as often as six times a year for ten days at a time

· Valid US passport required
