Software Validation and Verification Engineer

Position Overview  
Takes high level Product Design Requirements, and develops a set of technical system requirements and specifications. Must have demonstrated capability in the definition and development of specifications and architectures for systems and modules. Skilled in leading diverse technical discussions which result in decision of optimal design choices.

Responsibilities  
Should have experience in performing system level hazard and risk analyses (e.g. Fault Tree Analysis, Failure Modes and Criticality Analysis). Individuals to be able to determine root cause of top level system problems and propose appropriate solutions with consideration for all trade offs in implementation.

Writes verification and validation plans and protocols to effectively test and qualify designs, and writes final reports and summaries. Technically involved in the iterative processes of testing/qualifying a system which includes interpreting results, recommending follow up activities/tests, and assisting in solving problems. Demonstrated ability to drive verification and valiadation activities for electromechanically complex, software-controlled systems as part of a cross functional team. Proven track record and experience within an industry of product and process automation

General Requirements:
Excellent analytical and writing / communication skills are a must. Experience in the use of automated tools for tracking requirements (DOORS, Requisite Pro, etc) is desirable. Must have problem solving skills. Candidates with experience in the development of instrumentation in regulated industries will be considered more favorably.

Education: Masters degree or equivalent experience.
