Solaris Systems Administrator

Years of Relevant Experience: 5 plus years

 

Preferred Education: BS in Computer Science or in closely related field with applicable experience. Role Description:

- This opportunity requires both Solaris and Linux system administration skills (5 yrs exp with both).- This job requires knowledge of standard messaging protocols, testing and troubleshooting messaging systems (5+ yrs exp).- Experience working with high performance multi-processor clusters running threaded applications, support of web enabled database applications (MySQL) 5 + yrs exp- PERL programming and system scripting skills are required.- Java or PHP programming skills desired.- Strong communication skills -- both oral and written are required. - Experience supporting enterprise wide applications is required.** Must live in or be willing to relocate to beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia within 2 weeks of starting job.
