As a part of the Industry Solutions and Ecosystems Group (IEG), you will help deliver on the next phase of NetSuite’s tremendous growth – delivering highly customer-centric, verticalized solutions, whether NetSuite built, co-developed with industry leaders, or enabled through a thriving developer and ISV ecosystem of partners.  The solution architect/developer will be responsible for both designing, as well as “hands on” building NetSuite’s vertical solutions.  In addition, the solutions architect works with our partners to enable our solution providers and ISV’s to delivering their own vertical solutions.  The potentially very diverse verticals in the NS-BOS/SuiteFlex developer ecosystem means you be exposed, as well as learn industry-specific requirements.  The successful candidate must be able to address these requirements with built-in NetSuite features, or by extending the NetSuite platform with customization and/or programming API’s.  The position must be able to envision how all the crucial pieces of a vertical solution fit together, and be able to design it to be robust, maintainable and easily deployable.NetSuite is a dynamic product that evolves very quickly; you must be a fast learner in order to help ISV partners harness this power to deliver bleeding edge solutions.RESPONSIBILITIES:• Work closely with vertical strategists, partners, as well as applications development to design and build vertical solutions fundamentally showcasing NetSuite and NS-BOS technologies• Technically enable the developer and partner ecosystem through a combination of (1) providing technical guidance to ISV partners – help them make the best decisions from design, to development, to QA, to deployment, (2) develop prototype software for our ISV partner as reference implementations• Help codify best practices as a thought leader in SaaS-based business application development, extension, and customization• Represent the ISV/developer community within NetSuite (1) work closely with core product management for future platform and application enhancements, (2) help manage the defect and enhancement records for ISV partners and escalate as necessary, (2) Work across the NetSuite organization (sales, support, professional services, sales engineering, and others) to architect, define, and ultimately profitably penetrate key marketsQualifications/Skills: B.S. degree or higher, preferably in Computer Science or equivalent• 8+ years experience in systems development, either via a consulting firm or a software vendor using Java, .Net, Javascript, XML, SOAP web services.  Solid understanding of HTTP, Internet protocols is also crucial • Proficiency with the application integration and customization environment of at least one major Enterprise Application (e.g., SAP: BAP, BAPI, Oracle: Open Interface Tables, pl/sql, Siebel: escript)• Experience developing web applications using JSP, CSS, AJAX, DHTML, and JavaScript. • Successful candidate should have demonstrated experience in translating unique vertical requirements into workable world class software solutions• Strong communication skills – the successful candidate must be able to articulate the design of his/her solution to both a technical and management level audience verbally or in written form in order to gain acceptance• Proficiency in application tuning and debugging • Prior experience with the ERP and/or CRM functionality and/or implementation of at least one major Enterprise Application is desirable• Self-starter with both a proactive attitude to solve problem and the ability to work in a very fast paced environment To Apply: Please quote the job title in the subject line of your e-mail and e-mail your resume to jobs@netsuite.com .    Company: NetSuite Location: San Mateo, CA 94403 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: IT/Software Development Occupations: Enterprise Software Implementation & Consulting;Software/System Architecture;Software/Web Development Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Industry: Computer Software Company: NetSuite Reference Code: 1261
