Solution Engineer, Emerging Markets

We are looking for a Sales Engineer with excellent technical, selling, and communication skills to handle various presales activities related to the Gomez ExperienceFirst platform. You will work directly with our Emerging Markets Sales Representatives and Managers to support the technical requirements for new account opportunities.  These duties will include but not be limited to: conducting technical need analyses, preparing contextual product demonstrations, supporting the technical requirements of a solution sales process, working with the sales team on account strategy and sales execution and providing technical support to prospective customers.  Your role will allow you to engage directly with accounts on both technical and operational levels to ensure superior service levels as well as to interact directly with key engineering support personnel to resolve issues. You should be a confident presenter with excellent verbal and presentation skills and be able to prepare and present material to customers on product capabilities based upon the solution sales process.  In addition, you must demonstrate an ability to work closely with both our engineering and sales teams.

 

Job responsibilities:

 

· Manage technical aspects of the solution sales process for the Emerging Markets sales team

· Conduct and document technical discovery interviews to effectively scope and position a Gomez solution

· Determine appropriate technical success criteria and technical decision making steps for sales opportunities

· Setup and maintain product demonstrations and evaluations for prospects

· Handle technical objections and liaise with Service Desk and Engineering teams as needed on presales support issues

· Interact with Sales Representatives and Sales Managers to provide constant feedback and tuning of account approach strategies

· Position Gomez capabilities versus a variety of competitive offerings

· Contribute to and reference Gomez knowledge stores to enhance Solution Engineering scalability and self-service

· Manage a high volume of interactions and tasks across diverse account situations

 

Job Requirements:2-3 years demonstrated experience as a Presales EngineerBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related majorProven track record of selling solutions to corporationsHTML, XML, JavaScript coding and scripting programming experience. Knowledge of web technologies. Ability to work independently. Strong written and spoken communication skills. Strong technical and problem solving skillsAbility to interface with engineering teams.
