Solutions Architect/Web Manager

Earthbound Media Group is seeking a talented architect with web development experience to join our technology team.

This role will actively manage the web development team providing leadership through expert solution design and architecture and mentorship of development team through encouragement of use of best practices during the entire development life-cycle. This role will also be responsible for the operation and process management of all development including architecture, technical requirements documentation, new business and resource planning, training and mentoring, inter-team collaboration, and client consultation and pitching.

Qualifications or Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• 7+ years experience in web industry including architecture, system integration, database migration and design, workflow process automation, network security and/or enterprise system management.
• Strong knowledge of various technologies: PHP, LAMP, ASP/.NET, JAVA, JSP, SQL, IIS, Apache, TomCat, XML, CSS, HTML
• Strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux platforms.
• Experience with enterprise content management systems highly preferred (Intewoven TeamSite, Day Communique, or similar ECMs)
• Experience with digital asset management systems preferred
• Experience with document management systems preferred
• Strong background designing, architecting, and implementing solutions and applications.
• Experienced with cost estimation modeling for technology and solution development.
• Knowledge of relational database environments preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and build credibility across levels and across businesses.
• Proven ability to lead a team, including mentoring/coaching junior team members.
• Strong written/oral communication skills

Technical Responsibilities:

• Drive development of those solutions by guiding and mentoring the development team through the entire development process. Some development will be required for shared services and components or technically challenging areas where the skills of an architect are needed.
• Provide best practices and common patterns, including database, component layers, user interfaces, web services, and integration patterns.
• Supervise the administration of all web application systems for company and clients, including servers, software, licensing, systems administration, support, and backup.
• Access client relationships to define and develop high-level requirements and features for a variety of solutions.
• Support and collaborate with business development team to provide estimates and scoping information necessary to win new business.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
Candidate must provide supervision to the web development team including lead developer, senior developer/architect, and team developers. Responsibilities also include performance management, productivity management, leading and motivating staff and encouraging professional development.

Candidate reports to executive management.
