Sr. Application Developer - Mainframe

Job Description and Scope of Work:This position is expected to provide technical team lead assistance to offsite personnel and serve as liaison between Clients onsite development team members for maintenance and support efforts. He/she is responsible for work at varying levels of technical complexity.  In addition to analyzing, designing, coding, testing, implementing and documenting complex user requests, he/she is expected to accurately size efforts and thoroughly develop the technical documentation required to develop the application offsite in a timely manner.Skills and Knowledge Required:This position requires 7-10 years of prior small project/team lead experience, programming skills in MVS, COBOL, and IBM DB2 environment. Knowledge of Merchandising and Marketing Retail Systems, J2EE/Java, VB, Cool:Gen and/or packaged solutions is considered a plus. Other technologies and software used extensively include MS Office Professional, Windows XP Professional, client/server, IBM UDB, UNIX, Oracle, Sybase, MQ Series, IBM RAD, CVS, WebSphere, TSO/ISPF, Librarian, Zeke/Zebb/Zara, Syncsort, Xpediter, Abend-Aid, File-Aid, Princeton Softec, Cool:Gen, Remedy, BMC Utilities, and NSight.
