TITLE: Sr. Application Engineer

GRADE LEVEL: 

REPORTS TO:   IT Director LOCATION: Milford, CT

We’re looking for a talented Sr. Applications Engineer with recent experience as liaison between management, system users, and IT to provide systems functionality direction to the business team.  The sky is the limit on how much you can achieve within this role. You will be aiding in the design, development, and implementation of systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of the customers.  You will be the IT focal point for the ERP implementation for a primary business unit. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·  Act as a technical liaison to the business team

·  Familiarity with Business processes, concepts, functionality

·  Responsible for Systems design, deployment, and training

·  Must be able to follow ITIL standards.

·  Excellent communication and presentation skills.

·  Ability to communicate IT solutions in Business terms

· Understand business needs and recommend strategies for the future.

· Understand and use application lifecycle for all development

· Lead large IT projects and direct and mentor others

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·  Bachelors Degree or 7 – 10 years IT experience

·  Experience working in a structured IT environment

·  Ability to produce implement IT Solutions without supervision

·  Ability to understand general programming techniques and business specific standards and ensure adherence

·  Excellent Listening, Verbal, and Written communication is a must.

·  Ability to document solutions clearly and accurately.

·  Significant Experience in systems design and implementation.

·  5-7 years Functional experience with Oracle 11i, including major implementation

·  Experience in the Order Management Module

·  Experience with WebMethods 6.x and/or Siebel 7x. desired, but not required
