Sr. Business Analyst

We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge (coding and design). Candidates stronger on analysis/business and not as technical will still be considered. Candidates should be able to assess if our vendors are doing accurate work (coding and applications).

Responsible for facilitating key business initiatives with IT impact, acting as the liaison between business and technology, contributing to strategic business planning, and coordinating the resulting system development. Facilitates the execution and implementation of key business initiatives involving technology components.

· Consults with project management to plan and organize the project.

· Monitors and escalates observations and concerns to project management and IT Leadership.

· Extracts, clarifies and documents business and technical requirements from all users by leading Joint Application Design sessions, one on one interviews and cross functional sessions.

· Translates business needs into technical specifications used by the development staff to create detailed technical designs and programming specifications.

· Manages requirements and resolves issues while using effective change management processes throughout the systems development life cycle.

· Assures that the delivered system meets the requirements by participating in development testing process led by the Quality Assurance Lead.
· Supports the business and the development teams throughout implementation.



Provides the communications bridge between business and technology.

· Acts as a liaison between business and IT, including outsource partners, by managing communications, relationships, and priorities. · Translates high – level business concepts into aggressive use technology through concrete diagrams and proposals.



Contributes to business planning and application support.

· Utilizes the knowledge of product lines, banking industries, computer systems, and operating practices to optimize business processes.

· Assesses proposed initiatives by bringing a broad IT perspective, engaging appropriate IT resources and IT partners to drive out cost benefit analysis.
· Act as a subject matter expert as it relates to systems and applications throughout the corporation.



Coordinates system enhancements resulting from strategic planning:

· Participates activities involved in systems analysis, content effectiveness, cost savings analysis, and system. redesign, as well as planning and directing activities intended to develop new or revised processes.
· Ensures that approved proposals are carried through to delivery.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business / Accounting / Operations or equivalent field experience

Experience:
7-10 years of professional experience in project or functional department initiatives. 3+ years of experience in complex IT projects. Experience with project management and Software Development Life Cycle methodologies. Experience with IT and project consulting to internal and external customers.

Knowledge:
Effective with Microsoft Suite and Mapping Tools.

Skills :
Good organizational skills. Skilled in requirements management, problem solving and gap analysis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
