Sr. Business Intelligence Consultant

 

Job Duties: The Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse consultant will work as part of a team in the Corporate Investment Banking Technology group to support the Integrated Software Portfolio Management (ISPME) platform.  The successful candidate will assist with the design, development and delivery of a technology solution that integrates data from a vast set of data sources with complex data models. The candidate must be a self-starter and should very quickly be able to analyze data sources to find pieces of information needed for reporting purposes as requested by stakeholders.

·         We are looking for someone with extensive DB development.  Not a DBA.  The right candidate will have experience working with large projects writing complex SQL commands.  

·         This team focuses on data warehouse and Data mining.  

·         Candidates must have strong data modeling skills.   This team uses disparate data sources, and this resource will need to build, maintain and extend data model from all data sources, and then write the queries as needed.  Must have strong OLAP skills

Required Skills:

 

·         8+ years of software development

·         5+ years of experience in one or more of the following database disciplines as a developer (not a DBA): o Data warehousing o Large OLAP cubes (more than six dimensions) o Very large databases (greater than 1TB)

·         Experience with some type of reporting package; preferably Microsoft Reporting Services but Actuate or Crystal Reports would also be acceptable Pluses: • Extensive experience with nested set models

·         Extensive experience with recursive queries

·         Experience with multiple database platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, etc)
