description: Join Kronos Engineering as a DBA/Developer specializing in DB2 with experience in Java, J2EE, and/or HTML/JSP technologies to design and develop components to support our workforce management applications.

Job Description:
• Set up and maintain multiple DB2, Oracle, and MS SQL Server instances for development and QA purposes.
• Work with developers to design and optimize physical data models – tables, indexes, stored procedures, views, upgrade scripts, etc. for state of the art web based applications.
• Write high-quality code and related documentation, perform unit testing and participate in design and code-review process.
• Port Oracle or MS SQL Server SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers to DB2.

Job Requirements:
• 8+ years of hands-on experience working with a DB2 RDBMS, preferably Oracle and SQL Server in addition is preferable.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented technology and good command of the Java language with 2 or more years of Object Oriented software development experience.
• Experience working with web technologies like ASP.NET, J2EE, Servlets, JSP, and/or JavaScript.
• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with Test Driven Development and Agile Development methodology highly desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
