Sr, Database Administrator

UCN is a national organization offering call center solutions and other communication products to small and mid-size business customers. This position is located in Midvale, Utah and at this time we are only accepting local candidates. We are currently seeking a Senior Database Administrator to ensure database performance and availability in a mixed SQL Server/Oracle 24x7 environment. This individual must be able to work in a team environment and provide technical knowledge and expertise to other team members. Responsibilities:  Architect hardware, network and database designs to provide scalable highly available database solutions Create, review and approve database logical and physical designs Install, configure, upgrade, monitor, maintain and manage multiple SQL Server and Oracle databases Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures Implement and maintain database security Perform database and application tuning Provide 24x7 support in an on call rotation with other DBAs Setup and maintain documentation and standards Integrate third party software and databases with corporate databases Perform code review and provide consultation to development teams Train other staff as necessary Attend meetings and training as required Required Education & Experience: 5+ years maintaining SQL server and/or Oracle mission critical databases 4+ years TSQL/PLSQL programming 2+ years implementing and maintaining database replication Ability to work with technical and non-technical people Problem solving skills are a must Ability to meet deadlines Telecommunications Unix, Linux Veritas Net Backup MCSE/MCDBA/OCP .NET technologies C# To apply click on link below: https://tbe.taleo.net/NA4/ats/careers/requisition.jsp?org=UCN&cws=1&rid=117" Job Information Company: UCN, Inc.
