Sr. Director Software Applications and Strategic Alliances

Position Description:

RealNetworks, Inc. is a rapidly growing, web based, digital music, online gaming and streaming company headquartered in Seattle, Washington, that provides the universal platform for the delivery of any digital media, from any point of origin, across virtually any network, to any person on any Internet-enabled device, anywhere in the world.Real is seeking an individual to oversee our Software Applications and Download Partner businesses. This individual will be responsible for the growth of both products sales and downloads as well as maintaining and developing new partnerships and channels. In addition, this individual will be responsible for growing the business by identifying, evaluating and implementing new product offerings. This person must be an effective communicator with a broad range of both internal and external parties. In addition to managing the business, this person will identify opportunities for new partnerships as well as manage relationships with current partners. Additionally, analytical responsibilities include forecasting sales, tracking results, identifying optimization opportunities, financial modeling of potential new products, and evaluating marketing campaigns. This person must be adept at managing multiple projects and priorities. Essential Functions: % of Time1. Manage P&L for growing software application business - 30%2. Manage Download Partner relationships and identify and develop new partnerships - 20%3. Increase software application sales and downloads of free RealPlayer - 15%4. Expand our software product portfolio by identifying and potentially acquiring new software applications - 15%5. Develop new channels and partnerships for application distribution and increase - 10%6. Manage implementation of download partner application delivery including testing and optimizing offers, take rates and user experience - 10%Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Minimum: • Strong communication skills, strategic thinking, creativity and proven leadership in a product management/marketing function are critical to success• Ability to develop strategic plans and execute in a business development capacity• Manage direct reports and resources, and implement ideas• Strong analytical skills, solid quantitative skills • Excellent team skills are essential• Ability to work cross-functionally, particularly with product and marketing teams• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills Education, Certification, and/or Training:Minimum: BS/BA in business, marketing or a related degree. Preferred: An MBA with concentration in marketing is highly desirable.Experience:Minimum: Qualifications include 10+ years of business management experience preferably from a Consumer Software, Consumer Hardware or Internet company, most recent experience in an online consumer-focused business.Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:Seattle based, small amount of domestic travel.
