Sr. Java Developer II

Job Description
Perform software design, development, and unit testing as part of the client's professional service team.  This may require research and analysis.  Expertise and work efforts focus on the programming and development of open source based solutions. Duties may be performed at customer's site.

This role may include custom software development work based on client requests.  This role may require up to 25% travel.

Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science Two to five years of professional experience in product design, development and support
Specialized Knowledge and Skills Technical Skills
Demonstrated experience using Java, and Java related technologiesDemonstrated experience in product / application development, deployment, and documentation.Ability to properly use UML, Object Oriented Design, Design Patterns in product developmentExperience using SpringExperience developing and deploying Java web applications utilizing Apache Tomcat.Experience using relational databases such as Postgres, Oracle, and SQLServer.Experience using ORM technologies such as HibernateDemonstrated experience troubleshooting and solving application support issues.Experience developing multi-threaded, n-tier applications.Experience with XML and XSL preferred.Experience using Cvs or Subversion preferred.Experience using LDAP or Active Directory highly desired.Strong technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementationPortlet development experience desired.Spring Web MVC experience desired.Development experience for products deployed in a linux or unix environment, desired.Non-Technical Skills
