Sr. Manager, Technology Infrastructure
This role is to plan, organize, and manage Back Office, Voice, Network and Security staff to ensure the stable operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes having a high-level design experience to plan for the overall logical and technical IT architecture. This individual will provide technical leadership and consulting across the organization, from strategic decision making down to project planning within related area. This role will also be responsible for developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems. The Sr. Manager will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
• Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and project management.
• Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the executive team.
• Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
• Establish service level agreements with business units.
• Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to Systems Administrators.
• Develop and manage an infrastructure capacity plan.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
• Design, develop, and oversee implementation of end-to-end integrated systems.
• Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
• Four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of computer science and/or 7-10 years equivalent work experience, including 3-5 years successful leadership of an infrastructure team.
• 7-10 years experience managing and delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence.
• Technical Certifications a plus (ex. Microsoft, Cisco)
• Exceptional knowledge of service and Infrastructure delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware.
• Demonstrated leadership and personnel/project management skills.
• Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Proven experience creating and managing budgets.
• Able to conduct research into issues and products as required.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
