Sr. .Net Developers - Front End - Contract

Modis is looking for 2 senior level .NET front-end engineers to work on a 6 month + contract with our client in Arlington, VA developing portions of a public-facing web site.  Key Technical Skills are: Tableless CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, XSLT, XHTML The candidate will be responsible for prototyping, designing and coding major portions of the User Interface for the web site. Mandatory Skills and Experience • Ability to design and code medium to large size projects • Minimum 6 years of web development experience including design, development and testing. • Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and iterative methodologies. • Strong analysis skills with a thorough understanding of application and infrastructure bottlenecks • Excellent written & verbal skills. • Ability to clearly document and communicate technical designs to team members. • Strong experience with Object-Oriented Design & Implementation • JavaScript a must. Action Script a major plus. • Experience with web site Front End design and implementation. • Tableless CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, XSLT, XHTML • Experience with displaying XML content from a CMS • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms as well as the ability to implement them appropriately in software development. • Experience with source code control systems. • BS in CS, CIS or equivalent Desirable Skills and Experience • Experience in supporting 24x7 production systems, including deployment, trouble shooting and performance tuning. • Experience with relational databases and stored procedures. Microsoft SQL Server and t-SQL preferable. • Experience with configuring Microsoft IIS server. • Ability to develop and execute Unit Testing • Experience with ASP.NET (1.1 and 2.0) and AJAX.NET, preferably in C#.NET • Knowledge of Microsoft WPF and Silver Light a plus. • Experience with one or more of the following: Subversion, NUnit, CruiseControl.Net, NCover, MSBuild, NAnt, FxCop, TestDriven.Net, Log4Net • Experience in developing Web Services.
