Sr. Network Analyst

Modis IT has a permanent opportunity for a Senior Network Analyst possessing experience with Cisco routers/switches/firewalls and Microsoft Windows 2000/03/08 servers.  This is a permanent, direct-hire position at a law firm in Washington, DC.Responsibilities include functioning as an advanced level technical resource for the Information Technology Systems staff and as an advanced level network analyst for the management and operation of the network. Developing and implementing methods and procedures for monitoring system performance and operations. Researching, analyzing and proposing methods and procedures for performing system maintenance, modifications, upgrades and repairs; evaluating, installing, configuring, and maintaining network software, including both user and network systems applications. Optimizing design and structure of network operation systems for complex 400-node network over multiple offices; troubleshooting and ensuring resolution of escalated LAN and WAN issues; assisting Technology Systems Manager in developing strategic plans for network improvements. Participating with other Information Technology Systems staff to plan and implement hardware and software solutions. Position encounters frequent and continual changing work situations as technology needs of the company change and level of technical support needed increases. Has frequent interaction with vendors, and consultants.Successful candidate will demonstrate positive customer service orientation, strong analytical planning and organizational skills, works well in a team environment, ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks, strong technical understanding and expertise, strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. This position will interact with staff and attorneys at all levels.
