About the Team The Site Acceleration business has responsibility for Akamai's flagship web delivery services, providing premier site acceleration and download capabilities to the major web sites across the industry. Our mission is to grow, maximize and protect long-term revenue for the Site Acceleration Business by developing and executing the product marketing strategy for the key product lines that fuel our business. About the Job The Senior Product Marketing Manager will define and execute the go to market strategy for Akamai’s Site Acceleration solutions. This person will be responsible for being Akamai’s voice for Site Acceleration solutions to internal and external audiences including sales and service, industry analysts, media and customers. This position will manage a team of product marketing managers and specialists and will require proven experience in launching new services through definition and execution of a go to market plan. A thorough comprehension of internet and website infrastructure is required. Responsibilities * Help the Site Acceleration Business grow revenue per their business plan * Drive the overall positioning and go to market strategy for the Site Acceleration Business; help define and position products * Work closely with customers, resellers and internal team to identify market requirements; work with product management to build out the road map and define pricing/packaging of the solution * Work closely with customers, sales, product management, and industry marketing to define the go to market strategies for Akamai’s Site Acceleration solutions * Create messaging, positioning, competitive analysis and sales tools, and provide sales support and escalation for deals contributing to customer wins. * Serve as the product expert to the field, including product sales training, product evangelism and speaking/print opportunities. * Remain current on internet industry issues as they relate to the product offering as well as emergent technologies, standards, and market trends. Education: Bachelor’s Degree. MBA Preferred. Overall Experience: * 5-7 years in product marketing with a minimum of 2-3 years in Internet infrastructure or services. Experience in product management is a plus. * Strong business, technical, and marketing fundamentals *The ability to indirectly manage resources towards marketing milestones and goals * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting ideas to senior management and customers * Demonstrable experience in processes for bringing new products or services to market through both direct and indirect channels * Ability to perform research on market trends and opportunities and synthesize the results of that research into actionable plans for Akamai * Ability to staff and manage a team of product marketing professionals * Strong knowledge of the Internet technology and industry fundamentals and trends * Additional experience with product marketing into commerce and high tech markets is desired * Competent in PowerPoint, Word and Excel Contact us!
