Sr. Project Leader

NOTE:  This position can be based in Birmingham, AL, Harrisburg, PA or other remote sites.Sr. Project Leaders function as project managers for internal and external projects; these projects typically involve higher financial exposure, longer project duration, greater scope and complexity level, and higher business or customer impact. They propose and manage project budgets, project plans, resources, deliverables, and scope changes using established change control methodologies. Sr. Project Leaders are expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously using DST Health Solutions’ defined project management approach. Sr. Project Leaders are the primary contact for the customer and are accountable for managing the customer relationship during the project. They understand the impact of changes to the project and can communicate the impact to the customer, project team, steering committee, and executive project sponsor(s). When supporting client implementations or release management projects, Sr. Project Leaders provide advanced product knowledge and technical understanding to ensure efficient design, development, and implementation. Sr. Project Leaders may gather, define, and document business requirements and assist with technical design requirements; perform risk assessments; recommend products/services alternatives and/or current systems enhancements; assist sales and marketing with inquiries, demonstrations, or presentations; identify additional revenue opportunities; and provide cross-selling support. Sr. Project Leaders mentor and offer guidance and assistance to Project Leaders.QualificationsRequires 5 years of healthcare project management experience with large software implementation projects. Requires advanced knowledge of MicroSoft Project and PMBOK. Must be able to effectively interact with executives. Must be able to travel 50%. Prefer healthcare experience. Prefer a MBA or other related degree.
