We are currently recruiting for a Sr. Project Manager to join our Development team. This role will be responsible for managing highly complex projects in a global environment. The ideal candidate will use the accepted project management methodology to meet or exceed agreed upon goals in a coordinated, efficient and proactive manner. Additionally, this individual will accept responsibility and accountability for assigned projects and deadlines, manage project metrics, serve as primary escalation point for significant project issues, manage key vendor relationships, and project scope. This role is also responsible for managing requests for resource allocations with Resource Managers to staff projects.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:• Plan, organize and manage complex, assigned project details with full accountability for meeting all project deadlines across multiple products.• Drive project tasks to conclusion.• Manage project timelines within budget and quality requirements.• Assign project wide roles and responsibilities. Manage project resourcing to ensure adequacy (quality and quantity) of all inter and intra departmental project resources throughout the life of the project. Negotiate and pro-actively manage so that resource issues do not negatively impact deadlines.• Routinely and effectively track progress of a project, including risk assessment and mitigation/reduction.• Communicate project status with timely identification, tracking and resolution of project issues.• Provide routine project documentation and status reports including monthly scorecards that accurately represent the project status.• Initiate continual process improvement of project management processes.• Support CMMI initiative and assist as needed.• Coordinate with other project managers across organization to ensure milestones stay on track.• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:• Bachelor's degree in computer science, healthcare, software development, or related field or comparable work experience. • 7+ years managing IT projects of increasing size and complexity (ideally healthcare informatics).• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.• Proven record of team management.• In depth knowledge of project management methods.• Proven ability to solve problems in a team oriented environment.• Must be able to travel up to 20%.Misys Healthcare: Experience, Solutions, Results
