Sr. Project Manager

SumTotal Systems provides business performance improving products, services and solutions that help customers increase revenues, decrease expenses and reduce operational cycle time. We provide an integrated suite of business performance management applications that help customers deliver, manage and measure learning to solve specific business problems.   The Senior Project Manager’s responsibilities will be focused on the delivery and implementation of SumTotal Systems’ suite of products.  This position will direct the development and implementation of enterprise wide productivity solutions for our customers.  25% travel required. DUTIES § Manage and build client relationships with key decision makers from project inception to post-implementation; ensure customer satisfaction.§ Facilitate on-site client meetings; articulate business requirements and functional specifications clearly and succinctly.  § Oversee installation and client acceptance of SumTotal Systems product suites.§ Manage projects from initiation through delivery utilizing Microsoft Project.§ Monitor on-site and remote day-to-day activities between client and SumTotal Systems’ personnel.§ Interact with sales, systems engineering, and product development to ensure continuity between the organizations.§ Participate in sales activities and prepare statements of work.§ Plan and manage service schedules and budget.§ Provide weekly status reports and project updates on a regular basis.§ Develop test scripts and perform unit testing.§ Develop job aids, help text and other documentation required to meet the clients’ business requirements; coordinate and facilitate training as needed.§ Other duties as required by manager. ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE § Four year degree in technical or business field; masters preferred.§ PMP certification a plus.§ Minimum eight years’ experience implementing software solutions for global enterprise organizations.§ Eight plus years’ experience in project management, client interface,§ Excellent communication skills both written and oral; excellent presentation and facilitation skills.§ Proven cross-functional team success.§ Ability to lead technical projects from start to finish with minimal technical support.§ Possess an in-depth knowledge of product functionality and integration points.§ Proven ability to define and document gap analyses and proposed solutions.§ Ability to deliver on-schedule and within budget. SumTotal Systems is an EOE and strongly supports diversity in the workplace.  Job Title: Sr. Project Manager Company: SumTotal Systems Location: US-CA-Silicon Valley/San Jose Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Project/Program Management Relevant Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Company: SumTotal Systems
